This is not just another standard code contest; this contest gives the finalists the opportunity to present their application at PDC 2009 in LA. To enter you must build a consumer focused applications that addresses one or more of the following categories:

  • More Media, More Places
  • Gaming
  • Work From Anywhere
  • Safeguard Your Work
  • Applications for a Better Tomorrow
  • The application must also take advantage of the following Windows 7 technologies:

  • Libraries
  • Windows Touch
  • Shell Integration
  • DX11 (DirectX 11)
  • Sensor and Location Platform
  •  

    So I encourage Windows Media Center developers take a look at the contest, I am sure a Media Center application using Libraries and Media would be in with a chance and it would what better way to show off Windows 7 than with a cool Media Center app.
