Woodbark on TGB forums has made a nice little application for downloading dvd info for movies stored in the Movie Library of Windows 7 Media Center. There are a few apps out there doing this now but this app seems to be nice and simple and free.

I recently had some problems with the DVD / Movie Library not showing correct data so I decide that I would try to make my life a bit simpler as the only way I could get it to work correctly was to download the DVDID.xml file and then find the movie details myself and create the Cache file because 7MC did not want to save the details it downloaded for the movies it would only show up each time I entered a movie.  (Right click on the movie name for more options)

There is no installer yet so you have to extra the app from a zip file, if you use the application give the developer some feedback on TGB thread and if you use the app why not post the details in the Addons Wiki

  1. My Movies 2.53 has been released now and has support for Windows 7. I’ve not tested it yet but I am hoping it will resolve the no synopsis issue that we have been seeing in the native Movie Library in 7MC when using My Movies as the back-end.

Added: Storage of meta-data for Movie Library in Windows 7 for video files
Added: Meta-Data storage for non VIDEO_TS videos for use with Windows 7
