new avtar Hi there, I’m Simon.

I’m a PC, but I’ don’t work for Microsoft.

I love what my PC lets me do.  I love the way that I’ve been able to gather all my digital stuff together in my home and and can do it all from the comfort of my sofa.  I love that I have a slick interface.  I love that I can stick a CD in and copy it to my library, then listen to it anywhere in my home (or hotel room).  I love that I can record live TV, pause it, fast forward it, rewind it, watch it when I want without paying a subscription.  I love that all my movies are there too, with cover art and information.  I love that I’ve been able to extend my system, that I can watch internet TV channels, and catch up on TV with On Demand services.  I love the fact that when a friend came over the other night and she was sad, I could cheer her up by showing her some photos on the TV.

I love Windows Media Center.

I’ve been blogging about my experiences with Windows Media Center and how integrates into my digital lifestyle for a while, but I thought now was the right time to join the the community properly on The Digital Lifestyle.  I’m working on something that should be really cool around that a little down the line.  For now I’m going to start sharing my stories through this blog, please feel very free to comment – tell me if I get something wrong (but do it nicely), tell me what you like and what you don’t.

This wouldn’t be a good first post if I didn’t give you something, so here is my review of TunerFree MCE.
