TDL Computer Museum Road Trip – Part 2: The National Museum of Computing

For the part 2 of our road trip Garry Whittaker, Richard Speed and I visited to the National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park. The museum follows the development in computing from the war time code breaking machines of the Turing-Welchman Bombe and Colossus to mainframes, the rise of personal computing and the Internet.

The museum is back open and ready for your visit. They have an amazing group of volunteers maintaining and demonstrating the systems and many of the system are available for you to get your hands on.

In this video I take a quick tour of the museum and I chat with Jacqui Garrad from the museum, she explains what the place is all about and how you can visit and go hands on with the amazing collection. To finish off Garry, Richard and I reflect on the museum and our weekend road trip.
