Microsoft have released the first preview of x64 emulation for Windows 10 on ARM PCs. This enables x64 bit application to run on devices like the Surface Pro X using emulation. It will work with apps from the Microsoft Store or manually installed and really improves the app compatibility for ARM Windows 10 devices. To give it a try you need to have Windows 10 build 21277 which is available for Windows Insiders on the dev channel.
As the system is still in development some apps may now work and Microsoft want your feedback via the Feedback Hub.
