Today Microsoft have released the latest update to Window 10. The releases is called the Windows 10 November 2019 Update and is version 1909 of Windows 10.
Over the past few years we have become used to the twice-yearly updates to Window 10, some with many new features and some that cause a few issues (don’t mention the 1809 update) but this year its all change. Instead of releasing another large update in the next few weeks Microsoft are delivering the next Windows 10 update as a small feature update to the major 1903 release. This time with the focus on reliability, stability and enterprise features.
You can get update by going to Settings, Windows Update and checking for updates. If your machine is compatible with 1909 you will see a link to download “Feature update to Windows 10, version 1909”. Click the link and the update will download and install. After a reboot you will be on 1909.
In this video I show you what changes you will see after installed the update and the reasons behind the change in strategy.
