Last year I reviewed the Blink XT security camera, which I liked for its simplicity of installation and ease of user. Today Amazon have announced its 2nd generation of Blink security systems with improved battery life, improved detection and two-way audio.
The Blink XT2 system has longer battery life than the original, Amazon say 2 years depending of usage. I found the original was about 6 months were as Amazon said the expected use would be 12 month. The new system version also has two way audio so you can talk about to visitors via your phone. Another new feature is the ability to setup activity zones for motion detection so it can better detect motion and reduce false alarms.
The starter kit costs £99.99 from Amazon which include a single camera and the base station.
