Microsoft have removed the block stopping Windows 10 19H1 builds installing on machines with anti-cheat software installed. The software causes Windows to crash so Microsoft put a block on the build installing if your system has the software installed.

Microsoft have now removed the block on build 18362 saying that many of the games have been updated by the developers so they will be removing the block.

This issue has been around for months and is blocking 20H1 builds from installing as well so it’s good to see the issue fixed. It’s looking very likely that 18362 could be going to release preview next, and then on to general release.

Many games that use anti-cheat software have released fixes for the issue causing PCs to bugcheck (GSOD). The upgrade block that prevents Windows Insiders from updating to the latest build will be removed soon.
