The Xbox skill for Amazon Alex is now available in the UK. The skill (which is currently in beta) enables you to turn on and off your Xbox One, launch a game and control media playback.
As well as controlling the Xbox via commands like “Alexa, tell Xbox to record that” the skill also enable the Xbox to work as a smart home device meaning you can ask “Alexa, turn on Xbox” or “Alexa, launch Forza Motorsport 6”.
The skill means you can add Xbox to your smart home routines like a routine to turn on your TV, audio receiver, Xbox and load up Netflix.
