Microsoft have produced a new video showing off some of the improvements in Windows Mixed Reality with the April 2018 update. The video shows the new features in HoloLens and the improvements to the VR headsets including the new enterprise features, research mode in HoloLens, the new Skyloft in WMR and the new APIs.
In the video Microsoft also mention an early look for “user generated environments” which I think means developers can create custom places in addition to Microsoft’s own Cliff House and Skyloft.
