The latest version of Groove Music for Windows Insiders now includes a Graphic Equaliser. Announced back last year on our podcast Microsoft said an equaliser would be coming to Groove and now it looks like it’s finally arrived. In the meantime Microsoft killed off its streaming service pushing users to Spotify making Groove only good for playing locally and OneDrive stored music.

The equaliser has pre-sets like bass boost, Car and Home stereo was well as 5 bands you can manually set. I gave it a quick try and it works really well, it just a shame that few people are going to use it.

Also added to the app (well it’s the first time I have noticed it) is the option to set the lock screen and Windows background as the album artist.
