The Windows Store
With Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (codenamed Redstone 3) Microsoft are introducing a new design language called fluent design which you can see in action in my video of the new Story Remix app. The latest app to receive the new design is the Windows Store app. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the design of the store had changed that looked like it could be ready for the updated look, and overnight an update to the store adding the fluent design. Not only is there the acrylic background transparency there is also some areas of parallax scrolling that gives the store a nice modern look.

The app hasn’t full been given a fluent make over yet, there isn’t the mouse tracking highlights like the Groove app does but it does indicate how Windows is going to look.
