Next week (April 11th) Microsoft will release the Windows 10 Creators Update to Windows users via Windows Update. The update will be rolling out in waves so depending on your device you may have to wait for a while, but there is a way to get the update today. Microsoft have a tool called the Windows Upgrade Assistant and from today it will update Windows 10 to the Creators Update.

Head over to the Upgrade Assistant page and click on Update Now which downloads the update tool, run it and then it will guide you through the upgrade process. The time it takes to update depends on your device specs, my Surface Pro 4 took under an hour but other devices have taken two hours.

If you are unsure about the update I would wait until it gets installed via Windows Update but if you want to get started now you can use the tool. If you want to know what’s new with the update checkout my detailed post and here is my video guide to what is new.
