Yesterday Microsoft released a set of updates for the Surface Pro 4 which we now have the details. The main changes for January are improved system stability, better battery life during sleep and rather interestingly “adds support for an upcoming product release”.

On my Surface Pro 4 I had to reboot twice to complete the updates. Here are the details from Microsoft:

Here is the summary of the updates we’ve made in January for Surface Pro 4 devices:

     •    improvements to system stability, keyboard stability, and storage performance
     •    improvements to battery life during sleep
     •    disables touch when cover is closed
     •    adds support for an upcoming product release
