Lenovo announce another Surface Pro rival: The Lenovo Miix 720

As I said in my round up of 2016 one of key trends of the year is that OEMS have caught up and in some cases passed the quality of Microsoft’s Surface range. The latest Surface like device to be announced is the Lenovo Miix 720, a 12 inch Windows two-in-one with detachable keyboard. The tablet is 14.66mm thick and weights 1.1kg and is styled very much like the Surface Pro, it has a 12 inch touch screen running at 2880 x 1920 and has an active pen which supports 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. One big advantage over the Surface Pro 4 is the Thunderbolt 3 / USB-C port which you can use to expand the device including running 4k displays.

The specs are Intel 7th gen i7 processor, 16GB RAM, 1TB storage, 8 hour battery life, Windows Hello supporting from facing camera, 5MP rear camera.

The Miix 720 is priced at £999.99 in the US and includes the keyboard the pen costs $59.99.
