A couple of interesting developments from the Plex team today. First off is a new Plex add-on for Kodi that brings the Plex experience into Kodi. With the addon you can use Kodi as a front end but still access Plex’s library and media playback experience (Plex Pass only at the moment) so you get the best of both worlds.
The other change is Plex Media Player the desktop media app has been rewritten based on the Plex Web app so you can use it as a desktop player or switch it into HTPC mode for the full TV experience. Also the Plex Media Player is now free as they have taken away the Plex Pass restriction.
