Emby Server is a fantastic media server solution with client apps for iOS, Android, Windows and many others platforms. You can use it to store and manage your personal music, video and photo collections and then access it from any of the client apps (it was one of the featured media solutions in my Windows 10 book).
Obviously a great devices for consuming your media is the Xbox One and thanks to the Xbox’s new UWP support Emby is coming to the Xbox One.
The app has the same features as it does on the other platforms so you can watch live TV via your server, stream music, watch videos and manage your collection. The app has been approved by Microsoft and will be in the store soon.
I am really pleased to see Emby hit the Xbox One, it is a great media platform and this is the final piece of the puzzle for a complete whole home solution.

This app will be one of two emby apps available for the Xbox platform !!. The emby windows UWP app by 7Illusions has been available since Aug 2 for the windows phone and PC and will be available in the Xbox store.
