Remember back at build Microsoft demonstrated new inking features in Windows 10 Anniversary Update? One of the features that never actual showed up was Windows Ink in the Windows 10 Maps app. The feature has arrived today for Windows Insiders on the fast ring.

With the update there are three main features: Ink annotations on maps so you can make notes, distance measuring so you draw a line and it will measure how far it is and directions which enables you to draw a line between start and end points and then it will give you directions (either driving, public transport or walking). I like being able to draw a route and see how far it is, handy to see if a destination is within walking distrance.

The update is available for Windows Insiders on the fast ring.
