Even in the days of modern Windows 10 apps like Groove and Movies & TV there is still room for good old Windows Media Player. Did you know you can setup Windows Media Player to work as a media server in your home? Once setup you can access content stored on your Windows 10 PC on an Xbox One, Android phone, smart TV or another Windows device in your home.

The functionally is based on DLNA and is built into Windows Media Player, you just need to turn it on. If your network is currently in public mode read our article on how to change Windows 10 to a private network.
