Today Microsoft also announced the 2nd generation Microsoft Band. I love my Microsoft Band and have it on all the time but after using it for almost a year I have to say it does feel chunky and a little on the fragile side, the Microsoft Band 2 aims to fix some of the issues with the first Band. It has a curved display rather than the flat one of the first device and looks like it will better survive day to day use. There is elevation tracking, barometer and the display look like it is a higher resolution with a better UI.
It also has Gorilla Glass so it shouldn’t scratch like the original Band does. There is also a new universal Microsoft Health app on the way.
The price is $249 and will be released October 30th, pre-orders start later today.
