Over the weekend I wrote about the first app available to control music playback on Windows Phone from the Microsoft Band. As I said in the article there are limitations with the app, mainly it only works with the companion Windows Phone app and not the Xbox Music app (which is a limitation with the Microsoft Band SDK) but it does work and you get notification on the Band with the track info when a track changes.

The developer found a number of issues with the app not working correctly and withdrew the app from the store but I am pleased to say that the developer has fixed the bugs and the app back in the store. There is still the limitation of only working with its own music player which means you can’t play music from an Xbox Music Pass subscription but other than that it works well.

The app is free and in the Windows Phone Store.
