At this year’s Gadget Show Live HP didn’t have any of their PCs, printers or notebooks on show instead they had their new all-in-one with a difference. The HP Spout is an all in one PC with 3D capture features and a 20 point touch mat that you can use to capture real objects. You can then turn them into 3D objects which you can then manipulate using the touch mat or touch screen. Really it’s a high end PC running Windows 8.1 with an Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, 50 inch 20 point touch enabled mat, DLP Projector and 14PM 3D camera.
In this video I take a look at the HP Sprout and see how it turns a real object into a 3D reproduction which you can edit using the touch mat. The HP Sprout costs £1899 from HP.
