Last week the Android version of BBC iPlayer was updated and added support for 30 days of TV catchup and today an update for the iOS version of the app adds the same feature. So with the updated app you will be able to watch the Doctor Who Christmas special on your iPad right up till the end of January. Also added is a setting so you can set your preferred regional stations and Welsh channel S4C has been added.
The app is free from the iTunes Store.
What’s New in Version 4.5.0
Included in this latest BBC iPlayer Christmas Cracker:
– Watch for 30 days! You can now watch and download programmes on iPlayer for 30 days after they’re on TV. So you can stretch that festive cheer well into the New Year.
– Going back home for Christmas? You can now change your location in Settings to watch regional on demand programmes via the TV Guide.
– Welsh speakers can now enjoy programmes from S4C on iPlayer, both live and on demand, via the Channels page and TV Guide.
– As a Christmas treat, we’ve also got rid of a few more of those small, annoying, green things (bugs, not sprouts).
