The Kodi team have announced the release candidate of Kodi 14.0 Helix. This release of the media center system (formally known as XBMC) has many changes including the new Kodi logo, FFmpeg 2.4.3 which means you will be able to play h.265 video files, there are library improvements and improved UPnP support so it should work better with UPnP servers like PlayOn and Media Browser.

On Android devices hardware playback has been improved with support for more chipsets including 4K support for devices with the AMLogic s802 chipset. The Windows version has improved DXVA video playback and Kodi 14 introduces support for ATSCI sub channels.
