AllCast the Android UPnP/DLNA/Chromecast updated

AllCast for Android

AllCast the DLNA, UNPnP and Chromecast app for Android has updated with a couple of UI changes. The update has an optional splash screen on the receiver devices, you can toggle it on and off and with it on it will display the AllCast logo on the target machine when you connect, which is handy when getting devices setup. The other changes include a “recents” draw which contains folder or media you recently played making it easy to get to content you have recently played.

Allcast is great for sending content from your network to DLNA player or a Chromecast device plugged into your TV and costs £3.05 via an in-app purchase from the Google Play Store.

What’s New

Make the AllCast receiver splash screen an optional setting

Add a new “Recents” drawer section to quickly get back to folders or media that you had viewed recently
