The Android version of VLC the cross platform media player has updated adding support for Android L. The update has support for the developer preview of the next version of Android, fixes crashes and improves the DVD menu of the app.

The app is free from the Google Play Store and well worth having on your Android device.

Eighth prerelease of VLC for Android (24th Beta)

This release improves DVD menu, supports Android L and fixes crashes.

The 0.9.x series is major release with hardware decoding and a new interface available in dark or white colors. It integrates DVD iso and menu support, an equalizer, playlist management, Widi screens support and updated SD cards detection.

Hardware acceleration is now enabled by default on 4.3+ and has better subtitles support. Software decoding has been accelerated too.
