VLC for iOS

This week we have seen VLC updated for Android and Windows and now it’s the turn of the iOS version. Version 2.3.0 of VLC for iOS adds support for folders, better UPnP detection and support for m4b, caf, oma, w64 audio and mxg video files. Also in the update serial ftp downloads have been fixed, Twonky UPnP fixes, Wifi improvements and some UI tweaks.

As with the other platform versions of VLC it will play just about any format you can throw at it so it’s well worth downloading especially as its free from the iTunes Store.

This version adds:

* Support for password protected HTTP streams
* An option to disable playback control gestures
* An option to use bold subtitles
* Better UPnP detection
* Support for m4b, caf, oma, w64 audio and mxg video files
