Bing apps on Windows Phone
The Bing apps on Windows 8 are a good example of how to design Windows apps and yesterday the Bing team released a set of new apps for Windows Phone.

There is a new Bing Food and Drink app which has recipes from sites like AllRecipes, BigOven, Epicurious, Bon Appetit, Saveur and Food52. You can also use the app to create and manage shopping lists and share the lists between Windows Phone and Windows 8.1.

Another app is Bing Health and Fitness, this has features like workouts, fitness trackers, and Diet trackers. One of the interesting new features is a GPS tracker which you track a run and see duration, distance, pace and calories burned. The run data automatically updates your cardio tracker. There is also a symptom checker for finding out what that niggling problem could be.

Bing Travel is another new app for Windows Phone, with this app you can do things like checking the flight status and pinning a flight as a live tile on your home screen. You can also use the app to search and book hotel rooms and explore locations.

All the apps are in the Windows Phone Store (just search for Bing) and you can read more out them on the Bing Blog.
