Firecore the company behind the ATVFlash addin for the Apple TV have updated their iOS video player app. Version 2.2 has a download from network option so you can not only stream from a network share you can also download the file for offline viewing later, plus the networked files now also show their cover art and video info.

Also in the update is a new list view options, volume boosting settings and improved streaming speed and reliability. Since version 2 the app is now free with an in-app purchase to add additional codecs.

The updated free version is available in the iTunes store and the Pro version costs £2.99 as an in-app purchase.
