One of the best things about the iOS version of the BBC iPlayer app is being able to download shows for offline playback but recently there have been problems with downloads. TV shows are being downloaded but then disappearing from the app, still taking up space on your device. The latest update fixes the download issues so the shows no longer disappear off your device and there are improved load time of images in the app.
We’ve made a number of bug fixes, the most important of which being where downloads were disappearing from people’s devices but seemingly still taking up space.
We’ve also improved loading times for images in the app and conducted a little spring (or should we say winter!) cleaning in certain areas.
