When the Xbox One was launched it was no surprise that Windows Media Center Extender features were missing from the console (find out why from Microsoft’s Charlie Owen on our podcast) but that doesn’t mean that that there aren’t users wanting to see Media Center on the device. Microsoft have a suggestions box for Xbox Video where you can suggest features and currently the top suggestion is for Microsoft to add Windows Media Center Extender functionality to the Xbox One just as it was on the Xbox 360. I know there is very little chance of the console getting extender features, the Media Center team at Microsoft no longer exists and even if we all vote the numbers would be fairly insignificant to Microsoft. Having said that as the old saying goes “if you don’t ask you don’t get” so it’s worth a shot.
