The rumours where true, Nokia have announced the Lumia 2520 tablet as today’s event in Abu Dhabi. The tablet has the styling of the Lumia range of phones, Zeiss optic equipped 6.7 MP camera and keyboard accessories. The 10 inch screen has a 1920 x 1080 display powered by a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor and runs Windows RT 8.1. It seems to be a fairly decent match for the Surface 2 spec for spec but it also has built in LTE connectivity something that Microsoft don’t currently offer. Nokia say the 2520 will get 11 hours battery life and there is an optional Power Keyboard that adds 5 hours battery life.

It looks like a very nice device and it’s going to be interesting to see how well it sells, what we don’t know what the price will be or when it will be available to buy. The Surface 2 starts at £359 and I imagine with the addition of the 4G connectivity the 2520 could cost more.
