Microsoft have released Remote Desktop apps for Android and iOS. The apps bring the Windows desktop to mobile devices via Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Protocol and you can use it with desktop and service machines (you have to enable remote desktop on the Windows PCs).
The apps work just like the Windows Store version, you enter the IP address or host name of the device you want to control and then you can navigate around Windows, there are special buttons on the keyboard like the Windows key. I have used 3rd party apps in the past but it’s nice to have an official version and it comes in very handy for controlling your home server. The iOS version is free from the iTunes Store and the Android version is free from the Google Play Store.
