BBC iPlayer for Android updated, enables download option for more devices

BBC iPlayer for Android

The BBC have been rolling out download features to the Android iPlayer app and todays update adds downloading for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10″, Samsung Galaxy Note II and Samsung’s Galaxy SIII Mini. The update includes the facility for the BBC to enable devices without the need for an updated app.

Also the app automatically deletes expired videos. You can find the app in the Google Play Store.

What’s New

We’re tidying up behind the scenes by automatically deleting expired video downloads.

And we’ve enabled video downloads for:

– Galaxy Tab 2 10″

– Note II

– Galaxy SIII Mini.

More devices will follow soon, without the need for another release.

We’ve also fixed some more bugs.
