Microsoft continue to share more information about the upcoming Windows 8.1 update. In a post on the Windows Blog Microsoft have video of the Windows 8.1 preview, the video shows off the new lock, start screen, search and the new SkyDrive features.
The new start screen has large and small tiles, so you have a large tile with lots of information on it and smaller shortcut like tiles for apps that don’t have a lot info on the tile. Also shown in the video is the new All Apps view which is a much improved way of seeing all the programs and apps installed on a device, you can group them making it much easier to arrange the tiles the way you want. Personalisation features are shown off as well as the desktop wall paper. The new search features of Window 8.1 are shown which I have to say are a big improvement over the old search and the side by siding of apps look much better than in the current version.
