Coming up in July is a fantastic event for fans of vintage computing and technology in general. Silicon Dreams is a 3 day event taking place at Snibston Discovery Museum July 5th, 6th and 7th and is aimed at families and fans of technology and computers. There will be modern and retro computing including games, music and lots more. This is how the organisers describe it:

This will be a family event including computing workshops, retro computing and vintage gaming. It doesn’t stop there – we’ll also have film-related entertainment, arts activities and – of course – electronic music. On top of all this, there will be all the attractions of our host venue including science, engineering, fashion and toy galleries, a heritage railway and an area for under 5’s. There is also the country park nearby. It will be the first of its kind and we think that it will be a very special weekend for everyone.

Ticket details were recently announced and we have a pair of family tickets to give away. To enter we have a nice simple competition. On the evening of July 6th there is an extra event “An Evening With Martyn Ware” featuring the co-founder of The Human League and Heaven 17 (tickets available here). To win a family ticket weekend pass answer the following question: Heaven 17 took its name from which classic cult film?

Send your answer to win @TheDigitalLifestyle.com (or use our contact form) before June 1st and we will put out two winners at random from the correct entries.
