Skype Logo

The Windows Store version of Skype has been updated today to add the new video messaging features. Skype Video Messaging lets you record a video message and send it to a contact via Skype, even when they’re unavailable, they will be able to watch the message next time they’re online.

In the Windows 8 and Windows RT app you can select a contact and then send them a video message. I gave it a try and it seems to work pretty well, the app is free from the Windows Store.

Release notes
