On the Surface blog Microsoft have finally announced the release date for the Surface Pro in the UK. The Surface Pro has been available for a few months in the US and Canada and Microsoft recently added China to the list. Up to now there has only been vague hints for us in the UK but today Microsoft have announced that the Windows 8 powered Surface Pro will be on sale in the UK before the end of May along with Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. The Surface Pro will be launched in in Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, and Thailand before the end of June.

Additionally the Surface RT will launch in Malaysia April 25th, Mexico by the end of May and Korea and Thailand in June.

I am looking forward to trying a Surface Pro but I will not be replacing my RT device as I love the battery life I get from it. I do know many people have been waiting to see what the Surface Pro is like before buying a new Windows 8 Notebook.
