In February on our podcast we talked to Simon Hewitt part of the team organising Silicon Dreams an event celebrating retro computing and electronics. The event features vintage computing, electronics and electronic music and promise to be a great day. Today Simon has announced that Heaven 17 will be headlining a concert held in the evening after the event. Martyn Ware, co-founder of The Human League and Heaven 17 will be hosting An Evening With… special event on Saturday 6th July. He will talk about his career as one of the pioneers of British electronic music who helped change the charts forever. Later in the evening he will be joined by special guests Northern Kind and Heaven 17 for live performances.
Silicon Dreams takes place July 5th to 7th at Snibston Discovery Museum in Leicestershire and for details head to the Silicon Dreams site and for the full Heaven 17 announcement head to Simon’s site. TDL will be at Silicon Dreams because who doesn’t love a vintage computing event!
