New patch for DVBLink to improve transcoding performance for iOS and Android


DVBLogic have released a test patch that should improve the stability and quality of transcoded live TV streams on Android and iOS devices. That patch which is available from DVBLogic.com is just a couple files and DVBLogic have instruction on how to install. If you’re using iOS you could also try streaming without transcoding use the update from this week.

This test patch should significantly improve stability and quality of the transcoded live TV streaming to iOS and Android clients.

To install
– stop dvblink server
– copy ffmpeg.exe into dvblink\common (make a backup of existing one)
– copy network_streamer.dll and version.dat into dvblink\sinks\network_streamer (make a back up of existing ones as well)
– start dvblink server
