The OpenELEC team have released the 5th Release Candidate of OpenELEC an embedded version of XBMC. This latest release fixes issues from the RC4 release as well as including bug fixes to XBMC 12 Frodo and network fixes. The developers say this will be one of the last RCs before the final version (I am sure they said that last time as well).

The OpenELEC team is proud to release the 5th Release Candidate of OpenELEC 3.0!

Internally this is known by the less-catchy name OpenELEC 2.99.5 🙂

This Release Candidate fixes some issues found in our RC4 release as well it includes a lot of bugfixes to XBMC Frodo and some Network fixes. This will be one of the last release candidates before OpenELEC 3.0 final, so please test and report issues.

With the last Release Candidates we got many requests for a Changelog. The most important changes from last Release Candidate you find above and the most import chnages from our last final version you will find on bottom of this announcenment. For a more detailed changelog check github.
