Google Now

I am a big fan of Google Now, I really like how it tracks your activity and gives you updates on things that matter to you. Before I set off to work it tells me about the traffic on the road and alert me when I need to leave for a meeting. When I am traveling it gives me exchange rates, the time back home and flight information. You get weather updates, sports and places nearby, I really like how it gives me information as I need it.

Google have added some new feature to Google Now including movie rating from Rotten Tomatoes, real estate listings from Zillow and movies passes from Fandango. Google have also added a Google Now widget that you can add to your home screen or lock screen saving you from having to go to the Google Now app.

Google Now is turning out to be one of my favourite features of Android, if you haven’t used it before you may not see what the big deal is but Google are adding more and more features to it and makes the phone a true smartphone and one reason I won’t be going back to an iPhone or Windows Phone.

You can get the app if you have Android 4.1 or higher from Google Play

What’s in this version:

For Android 4.1+ (Jelly Bean):
