It may be over three months since the Microsoft Surface RT launched but Microsoft have finally got round to creating an official Surface blog. This week the Surface Pro launch which probably explains the timing but the blog promises to share stories and behind the scenes information about the “family of devices and accessories”. The first post talks about the Surface Pro and lists some of its features as well as highlighting some quotes from the initial reviews.

Hopefully there will be more interesting posts with more details in the future. I would love to see more information on an expanded “family” as I would love to have some kind of docking station for my Surface RT. There is still no word on when the Surface Pro will be available in the UK but I did hear from a source that it could be available in John Lewis from late February.

I’m pumped for the team to have this new space to share information with you as we continue to tell the stories behind what makes Surface such an amazing family of products. We’ll tell our stories and share the latest Surface news. I’m also excited to have some of my colleagues share the hard work they’ve put into creating a family of devices and accessories that continue to help you have both fun and get more done. In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing some of the behind-the-scenes stories of how Surface came to be and you can meet some of the folks that helped it be what it is today.

..

We’ve also had tons of inquiries as for the timing of more countries for both Surface RT and Pro. We are continuously working on the timing and dates for expanded release. We’ll update you in the coming weeks.
