XBian 0.8.1 BETA for the Raspberry Pi

Over the weekend I looked at the DarkELEC build of XBMC for the Raspberry Pi and released over the weekend is a new beta of XBian another XBMC project.

This version is back after a falling out with the developers of Raspmbc  (it all seems sorted now) and features a small footprint (fits on a 2GB card), has a smooth UI, CEC support and works with AirPlay.

Version 0.8.1 beta includes a new alpha 7 version of XBMC and has increased GUI performance.

This update includes an updated version of XBMC (alpha 7). It fixes a lot of bugs and increase the GUI perofrmance dramatically (e.g. XBian [email protected]×1080 30fps, XBian [email protected]×1080 50-55fps). This update also includes PVR.

You can get the details and the download from Xbian.org

Over the next couple of weeks I am going to do a XBMC on the Raspberry Pi shootout
