I do like my Samsung Galaxy Note, the 5.3 inch screen is the perfect size as mobile computer as well as a phone but how about a 5.8 inch device? Samsung have announced the Galaxy Player 5.8 an Android powered media player with a massive 5.8 inch screen. The player has a 960 by 540 resolution which seems a bit strange compared to the 1280×800 of the Note, it runs ICS with TouchWiz UI, microSD, Wi-fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 2,500 mAh battery.
It’s missing is a rear camera but has a VGA front facing camera. No details on price yet, is it to big to be a mobile media device and would something like the Nexus 7 be a better device?
