It’s only a month off our user group meetup and RaspberryJam session. It’s going to be a great opportunity to meet up with other tech enthusiast and to see a great range of technology. If your interested in Windows Phone, Windows 8, Windows Media Center, Linux, Raspberry Pi, XBMC then come to our event learn and share your experiences.

As well as cutting edge tech we will have a fantastic range of vintage computers from The Centre for Computing History. You can play with ZX Spectrums, BBC Micros, Commodore Pet maybe an old Mac. At the Gadget Show Live in April the centre’s stand was my highlight of the show and they are not locked in glass cabinets, you can touch, play and program the classic kit.

We are also incorporating a #raspberryjam session into the event, we want you to show off what you have been doing with your Raspberry Pi and meet with other Raspberry Pi users. It could be your build of a Media Server, XBMC or programming with Scratch. You can take a look at what other people are doing with the Pi and share knowledge. Even if you don’t have a Raspberry PI yet come and see what people are doing with it.

There is also going to be a raffle on the day so we will have a selection of prizes to give out.

So cancel whatever your doing September 22nd and come to The Rose Centre (Lowton Civic Hall), it’s just off the M6 near Wigan half way between Warrington and Manchester, the closest hotel is TravelLodge Lowton, just down the road from the event.

Tickets are priced at £3 for adults, under 16s free if accompanied by a paying adult.
