Amazon have launched a new Amazon Instant Video app for iPad for US users that will enable streaming and downloading of TV shows and movies from Amazon. With the app you will be able to buy or rent titles and Amazon Prime members will be able to stream directly to the the iPad at no extra costs.
It looks a good service, unfortunately it’s US only so here in the UK we will have to stick with Amazon’s LoveFilm option.
The Amazon Instant Video app for iPad offers additional features including:
·A “Your Watchlist” feature that lets customers make a list of all the movies and TV episodes they want to watch in the future, regardless of whether they own the video or not, making it easy to keep track of specific videos for later viewing
·Whispersync, which allows customers to seamlessly switch from one device to another, allowing customers to start streaming a movie on Kindle Fire, then pick up right where they left off on their iPad and avoid the frustration of having to find their spot.
·A “Your Video Library” feature that gives iPad customers access to purchases and rentals from Amazon Instant Video on the web or any of the hundreds of other devices enabled for Amazon Instant Video.
