A couple of weeks ago I installed GoodPlayer for iOS an app for watching just about any type of video content on the iPad. It supports virtual any format of video and works as a UPNP client making it a great app to have in your collection.
The latest update (version 5.3) adds Retina display support, improved music playback and improved hardware decoding.
