At WWDC Apple announced new fantastic looking MacBook Pro and new MaBbook Airs. I love my Air so was waiting to see what the new editions would be made of.

The Air gets Ivy Bridge 2.0 gHz dual core i5 or i7 CPU , 4 or 8GB RAM, upto 512GB flash storage, USB 3, FaceTime HD and 60% faster graphics. It looks like a nice upgrade with, the only issues I have with my Air is the slow processing of video during editing so it looks like the new Macs will be a lot better for that.

There is a new MacBook Pro with Ivy Bridge 2.7GHz quad-core i7 CPUs, up to 8GB of RAM, GeForce GT 650M graphics, USB 3, 750GB HDD, 60% faster graphics. This is probably the Macs I am least interred in but I know lots of people love them.

The new MacBook Pro with Retina display looks stunning: Up to 2.7GHz quad-core, Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz, Intel HD Graphics 4000 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphics processor,1.8cm thin 2.02kg, 15.4-inch Retina display with 2880×1800 resolution, Up to 16GB of memory, Up to 768GB flash storage, Up to 7 hours battery life. I have to say it looks fantastic and while I prefer the smaller Air it does look a very nice machine but it’s certainly not cheap.

The Air’s start from £849, the Pro start at £999 and the Retina Pro start at £1799

I am very interested in the 11 inch Air with the 128GB drive, must resist temptation. Anybody else tempted?
