photoOne of my new favourite apps is Remote Potato, this is the remote scheduling app similar to the classic Webguide app. I got it up and running on Friday and last night the developer Carlos has released a major update to the app. On the thread on TGB he says the update features:

  • Theming support – create and share your own themes to completely change the look and feel of the webpages.
I’ve designed 3 themes which are included, love to know your thoughts.
  • Mobile Browser detection – automatically view a different theme when accessing Remote Potato from a mobile browser.
  • Channel logo support – view the EPG and programmes with channel logos.
  • Faster browsing – inbuilt file caching vastly speeds up the browsing experience.
  • Easier setup / help; major work on UI and help screens / links within the app.
  • Picture of a geniune potato now included.

I just updated my install, updating the app is easy you just download the latest version and it seems to copy all the settings over. I love the new channel logo images it really makes the app look more polished. There is also mobile browser detection making it much faster when browsing via an phone, it worked really well on my iPhone and Andriod phone
